In the halls of Hemingway Elementary, Scott Slonim is a rock star. After all, he’s the teacher who brings robots to life and puts on popular shows that teach about stars, constellations, the moon and rainbows and include a grand finale using a laser. What you may not know about Scott, is that he is pretty serious about his skiing. He is all about the first chair and even brings a bag lunch to eat in the lift line so he can quickly get back to getting his vertical. He is also an avid mountain biker and loves to go uphill on Baldy. For the first two Battle of the Blades, Scott designed and implemented our patent-worthy applause-o-meter. Now, as it is turned on him, the arrow will surely go off the charts with the support of his students and the Hunger Coalition. Scott took his skating seriously all summer and the results are sure to impress.
Scott is competing for the Hunger Coalition.
